Victoria Orenze Rebukes Worshippers
Gospel minister Victoria Orenze has criticized worshippers who record videos on their phones during ministration.

The worship leader expressed her displeasure during a recent ministration. She urged congregation members to put their phones away and focus on worship.

Orenze said many people now prioritize recording spiritual moments for social media over connecting with God. She encouraged worshippers to seek a genuine encounter rather than focus on capturing videos.

“Don’t use your phones; I will send you far away from here. You don’t know how to honor God. You don’t know how to respect the Spirit of God,” she said.

The gospel minister also questioned the growing habit of recording almost every experience. She urged worshippers to focus on what they receive spiritually rather than what they capture on their devices.

“Everything is about capturing, and yet you will have nothing inside. You want to capture? Capture in your heart. Drop those phones. Have an encounter with God,” she added.

Orenze further compared the behavior to biblical accounts of people who sought Jesus for healing. She cited Blind Bartimaeus and the woman with the issue of blood, noting that neither focused on recording their encounters.

“This generation, we are used to phones. Anything, phone,” she said.

She argued that people facing genuine spiritual needs would prioritize seeking God over recording videos.

Her remarks highlight an ongoing conversation about the use of mobile phones during church services and whether recording worship moments distracts people from active participation.
