Nigerian actress and media personality Nancy Isime is taking on a new challenge in her career as she prepares to make her debut as an executive producer.
Isime announced the move in an Instagram video, where she opened up about the excitement and nerves surrounding her first production project.
The actress admitted that she is unsure whether she is fully ready for the responsibility but believes the time has come to take the next step in her career.
“This is my first production as executive producer. I can’t lie, I am nervous and wondering if I am ready, but I think it’s about time; I have also tried,” she said.
Nancy Isime Wants to Tell Her Own Story
For Isime, the move behind the camera is more than a career transition. She said it represents an opportunity to move from bringing other people’s stories to life to creating and telling a story of her own.
“I’ve spent years telling other people’s stories. Now, I’m stepping behind the camera to tell one of my own,” she said.
The actress also plans to give fans an inside look at her first experience as an executive producer.
She said the journey will include everything from production meetings and major decisions to unexpected challenges, successes and the realities of making a film.
“My first film as an Executive Producer. And I want you to come along for the entire journey — the meetings, the madness, the outfits, the decisions, the wins, the things that don’t quite go as planned… everything,” she added.
From Modelling to Acting
Isime began her entertainment career as a model before moving into television and acting.
She made her acting debut in the 2011 television series Echoes and has since established herself across Nigeria’s film and television industries.
Her executive production debut marks another step in a career that has expanded from modelling and acting into a broader role in storytelling and film production.
