Nigeria striker Terem Moffi is attracting interest from several European clubs as his future at OGC Nice remains uncertain ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Super Eagles forward spent the second half of the season on loan at FC Porto. He helped the club win the Portuguese league title during his stay in Portugal.
However, Porto have decided not to sign him permanently after his loan spell. The Portuguese champions reportedly declined the €8m option to buy the striker.
Troyes and Partizan interested
Reports in Europe say ES Troyes AC and FK Partizan are among the clubs monitoring Moffi’s situation.
The 27-year-old joined Porto after a difficult spell at Nice. He was reportedly sidelined following alleged abuse from supporters last year.
Moffi scored two goals and provided one assist in 15 appearances for Porto.
Premier League clubs still monitoring
West Ham United F.C. have admired Moffi for a long time. The Premier League club reportedly submitted a £25m bid for him in January 2023.
At the time, he was seen as a possible replacement for Michail Antonio.
Aston Villa F.C. also held talks with the striker’s representatives in the past.
Italian side S.S. Lazio are still following his situation as they look to strengthen their attack.
French clubs Olympique de Marseille and Paris FC are also said to be interested. Turkish giants Fenerbahçe S.K. continue to monitor the striker as well.
Strong Ligue 1 record
Moffi made his name in France after joining FC Lorient from Belgian side K.V. Kortrijk in 2020.
He scored 14 goals in his first Ligue 1 season and helped Lorient avoid relegation.
The Nigerian forward later scored 12 goals in the first half of the 2022/23 season. His form placed him among the league’s top scorers alongside stars like Kylian Mbappé and Neymar.
Nice signed Moffi permanently in January 2023 in a deal reportedly worth around €30m.
He adapted quickly at the club, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in his first 20 matches.
Moffi later finished the 2023/24 campaign as Nice’s top scorer with 11 goals.
Across his time with Lorient and Nice, the striker recorded 54 league goals and 11 assists in 148 Ligue 1 appearances.
