Miss 9ja 2027 Introduces State-Based Competition
Miss 9ja will begin with digital auditions and public voting. Contestants will represent their respective states or the FCT as they progress through the competition.
The first voting round will determine the Top 10 contestants in each participating state. Those who advance must complete physical verification before entering the second voting round.
This structure gives contestants across the country a chance to compete for the national crown. It also allows the organizers to select representatives from all 36 states and the FCT.
Winner to Receive ₦10 Million
The national winner will receive ₦10 million in cash, the official crown and a signature gold signet ring. The winner will also serve a 12-month reign.
The competition has also announced cash prizes for the first and second runners-up. The first runner-up will receive ₦2 million, while the second runner-up will receive ₦1 million.
Together, these three prizes amount to ₦13 million. Contestants who reach the Top 10 may also receive additional cash rewards and prizes from partners.
SwiftTrust Microfinance Bank Limited serves as the competition’s official financial partner. According to the partnership announcement, the bank will hold the ₦10 million grand prize in a designated account until the organizers award it to the winner.
The partnership also includes financial literacy support for the 37 queens. In addition, the reigning Miss 9ja will receive a monthly allowance throughout her 12-month tenure.
However, applicants do not need to open a SwiftTrust account to enter the competition, vote or progress through the stages.
Applications and Voting Are Free
Miss 9ja has stated that applicants do not need to pay a registration fee. The screening process is also free.
The organizers have ruled out paid votes. Instead, voters must create and verify their accounts before casting a vote. Each verified account can cast one vote every 24 hours.
The organizers have also warned applicants against anyone requesting sensitive banking information. These details include bank account numbers, card numbers, Bank Verification Numbers (BVNs) and one-time passwords (OTPs).
Applicants should treat such requests with caution and use the competition’s official channels to confirm any information.
