JIBWIS Receives International Recognition for Education

The Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) has received a certificate of recognition for its contributions to Islamic education and community development.

The recognition was announced in a post shared on the Facebook page of Malam Kabir Haruna Gombe.

According to the report, the certificate was presented by the Center for Islamic Banking and Finance, an institution focused on Islamic economics and Islamic banking, in recognition of JIBWIS’s educational activities and support for students pursuing studies at universities in different parts of the world.

The recognition was presented during an international gathering of scholars and experts in Islamic banking and Islamic economics held at the Central Mosque in London.

The Center for Islamic Banking and Finance, which has operations in the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, presented the award to JIBWIS during the international conference focused on Islamic economics and finance.

JIBWIS President, Sheikh Dr. Abdullahi Bala Lau, received the certificate on behalf of the organisation.

He was accompanied by the organisation’s Secretary-General, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Kabir Haruna Gombe; JIBWIS Director of Projects, Engr. Ashiru Babandede; and the Chief Imam of the Seven Sisters Friday Mosque in London, Sheikh Imam Abdul Razak Ibrahim.

The event brought together experts and stakeholders to discuss developments in Islamic banking, finance and economics.

The recognition highlights JIBWIS’s reported efforts in promoting education, providing learning opportunities and supporting students to pursue higher education locally and internationally.

The organisers described the award as recognition of the organisation’s contribution to education and community development.

The event concluded successfully, with prayers for the safe return of the JIBWIS leadership and for continued success in their educational and community initiatives.
