The result confirmed Arsenal as champions. It ended Manchester City’s chances of catching them. Arsenal now hold an unassailable lead at the top of the table.
This is Arsenal’s first league title in 22 years. Their last win came in the 2003/04 “Invincibles” season under Arsène Wenger.
Mikel Arteta led the team to success after three straight seasons as runners-up. Arsenal won 25 matches this season, drew seven, and lost five.
The club, Arsenal will lift the trophy after their final game against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on May 24. The victory marks a major comeback for the North London side after years of near misses.
