Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has dismissed reports that his wife, singer Simi, gave birth to twins.

The singer clarified the situation during an interview on Great Day Houston, a morning show on KHOU 11 television in Texas.

When the host mentioned that the couple welcomed twins earlier this year, Gold quickly corrected the claim.

“Not even twins. That’s the internet, by the way. We have a son,” he said.

Gold and Simi already have a six-year-old daughter together.

The singer also spoke about life with Simi, describing their marriage as rewarding because they both write music.

“It’s interesting to be married to another fantastic songwriter. We bounce off ideas in the home,” he said.

He added that their daughter had already started showing interest in music.

Meanwhile, Gold discussed his latest album, Fuji Xtra, which dropped the same night as the interview.

He said his sound blends traditional fuji music with modern production and described the style as electrofuji.

Rumours about twins started circulating in January after Gold shared a cryptic Snapchat post.

In the post, he wrote, “Asked God for another child and He blessed me double,” alongside a photo of two baby outfits labelled “Double Trouble.”

The post triggered widespread speculation across entertainment blogs and social media platforms.
