Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, on Friday approved a reshuffle of his cabinet, involving three key officials, as part of efforts to enhance governance and service delivery.
The development was disclosed in a press statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Umar Ikhilor, and made available to the media.
According to the statement, Vincent Osas Uwadiae has been redeployed from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Lands and Housing as Commissioner.
Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, who previously served as Commissioner for Lands and Housing, has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff to the Governor.
In addition, the former Chief of Staff, Gani Audu, has been nominated as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
The reshuffle takes effect from January 30, 2026.
Governor Okpebholo expressed confidence that the adjustments would enhance coordination, strengthen policy implementation, and further improve governance in the state.
