Customs Zonal Coordinator Visits Emir of Bauchi

The Zonal Coordinator, Zone ‘D’ Bauchi of the Nigeria Customs Service, Assistant Comptroller-General Musa Binga, has paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Bauchi, His Royal Highness Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, to seek royal blessings and strengthen collaboration for effective customs operations in the zone.

During the visit on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, ACG Binga reaffirmed the long-standing partnership between the Nigeria Customs Service and the Bauchi Emirate, describing the Emir as a revered leader whose guidance fosters harmony and mutual respect between institutions and communities.

“The purpose of our visit is to pay our respects to His Royal Highness and to reaffirm the longstanding synergy between the Nigeria Customs Service and the Bauchi Emirate,” Binga said, expressing appreciation for the Emir’s hospitality and support.

In his response, the Emir commended the Customs Zonal Coordinator for the visit and pledged the emirate’s continued cooperation in maintaining peace and ensuring the smooth conduct of Customs activities.

The Emir also urged the Customs leadership to prioritise border security within the zone, emphasizing the need to curb the smuggling of arms, ammunition, narcotics, and other prohibited goods in light of current national security challenges.
