The National Emergency Management Agency has deployed search and rescue teams to communities affected by flooding across Nigeria.

NEMA spokesman, Manzo Ezekiel, said the agency remains on alert as the rainy season continues.
He said the agency received a flood alert last week.
Following the alert, NEMA directed its operational offices to monitor affected communities.
The agency also asked its search and rescue teams to visit flood-hit areas.
The teams will work with state emergency agencies and other local responders.
They will also provide technical support where necessary.
NEMA said it would provide relief materials to communities that need urgent assistance.
Flooding has affected several states across the country.
They include Bauchi, Edo, Bayelsa, Imo, Rivers, Osun, Ekiti, Abia, Anambra, Benue and Delta.
Kano, Yobe, Nasarawa and Zamfara have also recorded flood incidents.
In Bauchi State, six local government areas face serious flood and disaster risks.
The affected areas include Toro, Bauchi, Ningi, Shira, Gamawa and Kirfi.
The state emergency agency reported deaths in Kirfi.
It also reported damage to thousands of houses and other properties.
Edo State has also recorded serious flooding.
Heavy rainfall caused the Ojirami Dam to overflow.
The overflow affected the Enwan-Igarra-Ososo Expressway.
Residents fear that more rainfall could worsen the situation.
Authorities continue to monitor the affected areas.
They have also advised residents to stay away from dangerous flood zones.
The development comes as the Nigerian Meteorological Agency continues to issue weather warnings.
NiMet has warned of heavy rainfall in parts of central and southern Nigeria.
The agency urged residents to follow its daily weather forecasts.
It also advised people to take precautions when heavy rainfall occurs.

These factors include heavy rainfall, overflowing rivers and blocked drainage channels.
