Nigeria Premier Football League clubs will get 60% of a new $7.5m sponsorship deal. The deal will run for three years, EUROMATCH will serve as the league’s new title sponsor.

The company will provide $2.5m every year, That means the total value of the deal will reach $7.5m. NPFL Chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye announced the deal during its unveiling in Abuja.

According to him the clubs would receive the biggest share of the money. The NPFL will give 60% of the sponsorship money to the clubs, The clubs can use the funds to improve their operations.

The money could also support better wages and welfare for players, This comes as many Nigerian clubs continue to face financial challenges. Better funding could help clubs prepare stronger teams.

It could also improve conditions for players and technical staff. The NPFL chairman said improved earnings were essential to making players happier and more productive, “Let our players shine. Let the world know them. Let our league be known.

Those of us behind the scenes, let our work reflect and let our work show,” he said.

EUROMATCH will now carry the title sponsorship rights for the NPFL.

The company will pay $2.5m each season. The agreement will last for three years. It will bring a total of $7.5m to the league.

The deal gives the NPFL a stronger commercial platform. It also comes as the league seeks more investment in Nigerian football. Players are expected to benefit from the new funding.
