Wuye Chief Imam Urges Peace Ahead of 2027

The Chief Imam of Wuye Masjid Dr. Kabir  has called on Muslims across Nigeria to use the Eid period to promote peace, unity, and stability in the country, especially as the nation moves closer to the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the Eid celebration, the Islamic cleric said Eid is a special time for giving, sharing, and showing kindness to one another. He said Muslims should use the period to pray for peace and the continued progress of Nigeria.

The Chief Imam explained that Eid is not only about sacrifice but also about caring for others, especially neighbours and families who may not be able to afford the sacrifice.

He urged those who are blessed to perform the sacrifice to share with people around them, particularly the less privileged, so that everyone can enjoy the blessings of the season.

According to him, the spirit of Eid teaches love, compassion, and support for one another, which are important values needed to build a stronger and more united Nigeria.

He also called on Nigerians to remain peaceful and work together for the stability of the country, stressing that unity is necessary for national development.

The cleric prayed for peace, progress, and God’s guidance for Nigeria as the country prepares for future political activities ahead of 2027.
