The Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF) and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has celebrated Africa’s business icon, Aliko Dangote, on his 69th birthday, describing him as a symbol of visionary leadership and African enterprise.

In a goodwill message on behalf of the 19 Northern Governors, Governor Yahaya praised Dangote’s remarkable journey from entrepreneurship to becoming a global industrial leader, noting that his success remains a source of pride for Northern Nigeria and the entire African continent.

He said the Dangote Group has transformed indigenous business capacity by building world-class industries that support economic growth, create jobs, and strengthen local production across Nigeria and beyond.

The governor also highlighted Dangote’s major investments in key sectors such as cement production, petrochemicals, and refining, describing them as critical to Africa’s industrial development.

He further commended the establishment of the Dangote Refinery and expansion of cement operations across the continent, saying these projects have boosted economic independence and reduced reliance on imports.

According to him, Dangote’s confidence in Nigeria’s economy and long-term investment vision continue to set him apart as a model for private-sector leadership in Africa.

The Northern Governors also praised his humanitarian work through the Aliko Dangote Foundation, especially in health, education, disaster relief, and poverty reduction, which they said has impacted millions of lives.

Governor Yahaya prayed for continued blessings, good health, and greater achievements for Dangote as he continues to contribute to Nigeria, Africa, and humanity.
