Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has insisted that the national convention of the ADC will go ahead despite a leadership crisis triggered by a decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Atiku made this clear in a video BBC, saying the party has finalized its preparations and will not back down despite the challenges.

This follows INEC’s withdrawal of recognition from the faction led by David Mark, a move that has sparked controversy within the ADC.

Atiku stressed that this development will not stop the party from holding its convention. He urged supporters to remain calm and continue backing the leadership, emphasizing that democracy requires resilience and commitment.

The convention is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the ADC’s future ahead of the upcoming elections.
