Renowned Islamic scholar Jabir Sani Maihula has spoken on the virtues of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, calling on Muslims to use the period to strengthen their faith and increase acts of worship.

In his Ramadan message, the cleric explained that fasting is not only about abstaining from food and drink but also about avoiding sinful acts, controlling one’s behavior, and developing patience and self-discipline.

He emphasized that Muslims should take advantage of the holy month to engage more in prayers, recitation of the Holy Qur’an, charity, and helping the less privileged in society.

Sheikh Maihula also reminded the Muslim faithful to maintain good character, avoid conflicts, and seek forgiveness from Allah, noting that Ramadan is a special period of mercy, forgiveness, and spiritual growth.

He urged Muslims to use the opportunity to reform their lives and remain steadfast in righteousness even after Ramadan.
