New England Patriots’ star receiver, Stefon Diggs, has emphatically denied assault charges in court.

After the Patriots’ recent Super Bowl defeat to the Seattle Seahawks, Diggs appeared in a Massachusetts courtroom on Friday, where his attorney expressed unwavering confidence in his ultimate exoneration.

Diggs faces a felony strangulation charge, along with a lesser assault and battery count, linked to a December incident involving his live-in chef.

Released on personal recognizance, he will return to court on April 1.

Attorney Mitchell Schuster confidently declared outside the courthouse that all facts and evidence will exonerate Diggs.

The allegations, which a December police report links to a pay dispute, claim Diggs struck the chef and attempted to choke her. Diggs’ defense, however, strongly denies these accusations, as the case unfolds.
