The National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) urges Nigerians to celebrate Valentine’s Day responsibly with a focus on HIV prevention.

Dr. Temitope Ilori, Director-General of NACA, says Valentine’s celebrations should not increase the risk of HIV or other STIs.

Knowing your HIV status is one of the most caring things you can do for yourself and your partner this Valentine’s Day.

Consistent and correct condom use helps protect both you and your loved ones.

Refrain from multiple sexual partners, transactional sex, and excessive alcohol that could impair judgment.

NACA encourages Nigerians to visit government health facilities for HIV prevention, testing, and counselling services.
