Trossard Completes Permanent Move from Arsenal to Besiktas

Belgian winger Leandro Trossard has completed a permanent transfer from Arsenal to Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas.

The deal, reportedly worth £15.3 million ($21 million), was confirmed on Wednesday, bringing an end to Trossard’s two-and-a-half-year stay at the Emirates Stadium.

Trossard Ends Successful Arsenal Spell

The 31-year-old joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 and quickly became an important member of Mikel Arteta’s squad.

During his time with the Gunners, Trossard made 174 appearances in all competitions. He scored 36 goals and provided 34 assists.

He also played a key role in Arsenal’s Premier League title-winning campaign last season, helping the club secure its first league championship in more than 20 years.

The Belgian international also represented his country at the 2026 FIFA World Cup before completing his move to Turkey.

Arsenal Thank Belgian Winger

Arsenal paid tribute to Trossard following the announcement of his departure.

“Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Leo for his valued contribution to the club and wish him all the best for his future,” the club said in a statement.

Trossard now begins a new chapter with Besiktas as the Turkish giants strengthen their squad ahead of the new Super Ligue season.
