The Kano State Government has ordered the closure of two health training institutions in the state over alleged regulatory violations.
According to the report, the affected schools were shut after authorities discovered that they were operating without full compliance with established standards for health training institutions. Officials said the action was taken to protect the integrity of the healthcare education system and ensure that only properly regulated institutions are allowed to train medical and health personnel.
The government explained that it will not tolerate substandard or unauthorized health training practices, stressing that such institutions could produce unqualified practitioners and pose risks to public health. It also indicated that enforcement of regulatory standards will continue, with inspections and sanctions to ensure full compliance across all health-related training centres in the state.
