The Kaduna State High Court has adjourned ruling on the bail application filed by former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to June, following ongoing legal arguments in the case.

The decision was taken after the court heard submissions from both the prosecution and defence teams in the matter, which involves multiple charges linked to alleged financial misconduct and abuse of office brought against the former governor by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

El-Rufai, who has consistently denied wrongdoing, is facing trial alongside other defendants over allegations the anti-graft agency says relate to actions taken during his time in office. The court’s decision means the application for bail will remain unresolved until the new date set for ruling in June.

The case continues to draw significant public attention, with security presence and legal proceedings closely monitored as the matter progresses through the judicial system.
