A Lagos State Special Offences Court has granted social media personality Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, bail in the sum of N20 million in her ongoing trial over an alleged N69.15 million fraud.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alleges that Blessing CEO fraudulently obtained N69.15 million from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited in March 2025 under the pretext of securing a property lease in Lekki, Lagos. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Justice Rahman Oshodi granted bail with strict conditions. The court ordered two responsible sureties in like sum, with each required to provide a three year bank statement or evidence of a fixed deposit worth at least N20 million.
The court also directed that the Nigerian Immigration Service be notified of travel restrictions placed on Blessing CEO pending the conclusion of the trial. Her defence counsel informed the court that her international passport had been lost and submitted an affidavit of loss.
Following the bail ruling, Justice Oshodi adjourned the case until October 12, 2026, when the trial is expected to continue.
The high profile case has generated widespread public interest due to Blessing CEO’s social media influence. While she remains on bail, the allegations have yet to be proven in court, and legal proceedings will determine the outcome.
