Midfielder Casemiro has publicly endorsed interim boss Michael Carrick as the right man to take charge of Manchester United on a permanent basis following an impressive run of results.

Carrick stepped into the role until the end of the season after the club dismissed Ruben Amorim in January, bringing an end to a difficult 14-month spell at Old Trafford.

Since taking over, Carrick has overseen a remarkable turnaround. United have won 10 of their 14 matches under his leadership, including high-profile victories against rivals such as Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea. The strong run has lifted the team to third place in the Premier League and secured qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Casemiro praised Carrick’s impact and leadership since taking charge.

“He’s a guy who has already shown he has the qualities needed to be Manchester United coach,” the Brazilian said. “Of course, a season is long, but since he arrived, he has been doing an incredible job.”

Casemiro added that with more time, Carrick has the potential to grow into the role and achieve even greater success at the club.

“With more time, he has everything to become a great manager for Manchester United,” he said.

Carrick’s future remains undecided, but growing support from within the squad could strengthen his case as the club considers its next managerial appointment.
