B. Hassan Perfumes has emerged as the winner of the business pitching competition at the 2026 Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Students Entrepreneurship Summit Festival (SESFEST 2026).

Founded by Babangida Hassan, B. Hassan Perfumes was recognised for its innovative approach to making quality fragrances accessible, affordable and convenient for students.

The business pitching competition brought together student entrepreneurs who presented promising business ideas and innovative solutions. However, B. Hassan Perfumes stood out with its clear business vision, market potential and focus on meeting the needs of its target customers.

The victory represents a significant milestone for the growing perfume brand and underscores the increasing impact of student-led entrepreneurship at ATBU.

Speaking after the announcement, the founder, Babangida Hassan, expressed appreciation to the organisers, judges, mentors, supporters, customers and members of the B. Hassan Perfumes team for their encouragement and confidence in the brand.

He described the recognition as an important motivation for the company to continue improving its products and expanding its operations.

B. Hassan Perfumes reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality fragrance products while pursuing its ambition of becoming one of Nigeria’s leading perfume brands.

The company also said it would continue to expand its reach and explore new opportunities within the growing Nigerian fragrance market.

The success at SESFEST 2026 further highlights the role of entrepreneurship initiatives in providing young people with platforms to develop business ideas, gain practical experience and contribute to economic development.

The competition also demonstrated the growing interest among university students in entrepreneurship, innovation and enterprise development beyond traditional academic pursuits
