The President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has been inducted as an honorary fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering.
The induction took place at a ceremony in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The academy conferred the title of Distinguished Honorary Fellow on Dangote during the event.
The President of the academy, Rahamon Bello, presented the award.
The honour recognises Dangote’s contributions to industrial development and engineering-related sectors in Nigeria.
Dangote attended the ceremony alongside his daughters, family members, and top management staff of the Dangote Group.
The event drew stakeholders from engineering and business sectors.
During the event, Dangote pledged to support the advancement of engineering in Nigeria.
He also expressed commitment to contributing to the growth of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering.
