A 24-hour curfew has been imposed on Oro-Ago community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State to tackle rising insecurity.
The restriction takes effect from 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, announced the LGA Chairman, Abdul Rasheed Femi Yusuf.
The curfew aims to support ongoing military clearance operations and safeguard lives and property in the area.
Residents and visitors are prohibited from any human or vehicular movement during the curfew.
Chairman Yusuf said the measure is temporary and will be reviewed as security operations continue.
Authorities will provide further updates to residents on any changes.
The local government stressed that the curfew is part of broader efforts to restore peace and stability in Oro-Ago and prevent potential attacks or criminal activities.
