“U.S. forces delivered critical military supplies to our Nigerian partners in Abuja. This delivery supports Nigeria’s ongoing operations and emphasises our shared security partnership,” the command stated, tagging @USinNigeria.
The move reflects deepening U.S.-Nigeria security ties amid persistent threats across the country.
The support follows Nigeria’s renewed appeal to the United States in November 2025 for deeper military assistance in combating terrorism.
The request was made by the presidency under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu after the United States designated Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern.”
