The producer and director of BehindTheScenes has recorded a historic moment in the Nigerian film industry as the movie crossed the ₦1 billion mark, making it the fastest West African film to reach the benchmark.
According to cinema distribution data, the film also set the record for the highest single-day gross on Boxing Day, generating ₦129.5 million. It currently stands as the highest-grossing theatrical release of 2025 so far.

With this achievement, the director becomes the first filmmaker to:
- Cross ₦1 billion at the box office on three separate projects,
- Deliver three consecutive ₦1B+ films in a single year, and
- Maintain the record as Nollywood’s highest-grossing producer to date.
The film remains in cinemas nationwide under distribution by FilmOne Entertainment.
