The Federal Government has confirmed that a series of coordinated security operations conducted in collaboration with the United States have successfully hit terrorist targets in the North-West region of Nigeria.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government said the precision air strikes were the result of sustained intelligence-sharing, strategic coordination, and legally grounded bilateral cooperation between both countries.
According to the statement, the operations were carried out in line with international law, existing security agreements, and Nigeria’s sovereignty, with the objective of strengthening regional and global security.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry emphasized that civilian protection remains a priority in all counter-terrorism efforts.
“Terrorism poses a threat to every community, Christian, Muslim, and others; and constitutes a direct attack on Nigeria’s unity and shared values,” the statement noted.
The Federal Government reiterated its commitment to dismantling terrorist networks, disrupting their logistics, and improving intelligence systems across the country.
The Ministry added that Nigeria will continue working through diplomatic and security channels with global partners to block terrorist financing, counter cross-border threats, and enhance domestic enforcement capacity.
Updates on the operations will be provided through official government platforms.
