Afrobeats megastar Davido has officially announced the Nigerian dates for his much-anticipated #5IVE Tour, marking a grand homecoming for the global superstar after a sold-out international leg across North America and Europe.

The Nigerian tour will kick off on October 26, 2025, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, before moving to Yola, Adamawa on October 29, Enugu on November 1, Ibadan on November 9, and finally wrapping up in Lagos on December 25, in what promises to be a festive grand finale.

Announcing the news on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Davido expressed excitement about bringing the energy of his global tour back home.

“I’m blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go, Nigeria goes with me. But this time… I’m bringing it home,” he wrote. “After an unforgettable North American tour, it’s only right we bring that energy back where it all began. 5IVE TOUR NIGERIA, y’all ready? This one’s for the culture. This one’s personal. This one’s for us.”

The tour follows the success of his fifth studio album, 5IVE, released in April 2025. The project, which has topped charts across Africa and beyond, features collaborations with international artists and solidifies Davido’s place as one of the leading figures in global Afrobeats.

The #5IVE Tour is expected to showcase Davido’s evolution as a performer, with elaborate stage designs, live instrumentation, and immersive fan experiences. According to his management, the tour is “a celebration of sound, success, and the power of homegrown talent that continues to dominate global airwaves.”

Fans have already flooded social media with excitement, with hashtags like #DavidoHomecoming and #5IVETourNigeria trending within hours of the announcement. Many describe the tour as “a gift” to Nigerian fans who have long awaited Davido’s live return since his last nationwide tour in 2018.

Entertainment analysts say the home leg of the 5IVE Tour reinforces Nigeria’s position as the heart of Afrobeats and one of the fastest-growing live music markets in Africa.

“Davido’s decision to bring a world-class concert series to multiple Nigerian cities shows confidence in the country’s entertainment economy and its ability to host large-scale events,” said music journalist Opeyemi Thomas.

Tickets for the concerts are expected to sell out quickly, with online sales already live through official tour partners. Fans can also expect special guest appearances from artists under the DMW label and other Afrobeats heavyweights.

As Davido gears up to close the year with a spectacular Lagos show on Christmas Day, the 5IVE Tour is already shaping up to be one of the biggest music events of 2025.
