Falcons Eye Record 11th WAFCON Title
Nigeria are aiming to defend the WAFCON title. The Super Falcons are also chasing a record-extending 11th continental crown.
The nine-time? No. The team won its 10th title after beating hosts Morocco 3-2 in last year’s final. They now hope to add another trophy to their impressive record.
Drawn in Group C, Nigeria will begin their campaign against Malawi on July 28. They will face Zambia on August 1 before taking on Egypt on August 5 in their final group match.
The tournament also serves as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The four semi-finalists will qualify automatically. The fifth-placed team will earn a place in the intercontinental play-offs.
