Toyota has revealed the 2027 version of the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser, the SUV combines hybrid performance, luxury features, and serious off-road capability.
The new Land Cruiser will arrive in dealerships in Spring 2026. Pricing starts at $57,880 before destination charges.
Toyota says the SUV is designed for buyers who want rugged capability without sacrificing comfort, technology, or efficiency.
Every 2027 Land Cruiser comes with Toyota’s turbocharged i-FORCE MAX hybrid system.
The setup combines a turbocharged engine with an electric motor. The motor sits between the engine and the eight-speed automatic transmission.
Together, the system produces 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid setup improves acceleration and low-end pulling power.
Toyota estimates fuel economy at 23 MPG combined. That gives the Land Cruiser an efficiency advantage over many traditional body-on-frame SUVs.
Toyota continues to position the Land Cruiser as a true off-road SUV.
Full-time four-wheel drive comes standard on all trims. The SUV also includes locking center and rear differentials for improved traction on rough terrain.
Drivers can tackle mud, rocks, sand, and steep trails with greater confidence.
The SUV also features CRAWL Control. The system works like low-speed off-road cruise control. Downhill Assist Control helps maintain stability on steep descents.
Available features include the Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism. It improves suspension articulation during technical trail driving.
Multi-Terrain Select allows drivers to adjust traction settings for different surfaces. The Multi-Terrain Monitor camera system also helps drivers spot hidden obstacles.
The 2027 Land Cruiser rides on Toyota’s TNGA-F truck platform.
It shares the architecture with the Toyota Tundra, Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Sequoia, and Toyota 4Runner.
Toyota says the high-strength boxed frame improves rigidity while reducing unnecessary weight. The platform also improves ride quality and durability.
The SUV can tow up to 6,000 pounds. That makes it suitable for trailers, boats, and camping equipment.
Toyota has upgraded the Land Cruiser’s interior with more premium materials and modern technology.
Buyers can choose between an 8-inch or 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard.
The SUV also offers USB-C charging ports, a Qi wireless charger, and an available 14-speaker JBL audio system.
Higher trims include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display.
Toyota also offers a 2,400-watt AC inverter in the cargo area. It allows owners to power tools and electronics during outdoor trips.
Toyota will offer the SUV in two trims: Land Cruiser 1958 and Land Cruiser.
The Land Cruiser 1958 pays tribute to the model’s heritage. It features round LED headlights and a classic “TOYOTA” grille.
The trim also comes with fabric-trimmed seats and standard off-road hardware.
The higher Land Cruiser trim features rectangular LED headlights and SofTex-trimmed heated and ventilated seats.
It also adds larger displays and extra trail-focused technology.
For 2027, Toyota introduces a new exterior paint color called Inked.
The SUV also gains available features such as a High Mounted Air Intake and heated and ventilated second-row seats.
Toyota has retained the Land Cruiser’s boxy proportions and upright stance. The design improves visibility while preserving the SUV’s classic identity.
Every model comes with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.
The suite includes adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, automatic emergency braking, and road sign recognition.
Available features such as Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert add extra driver confidence.
The 2027 Land Cruiser blends hybrid efficiency with traditional off-road toughness.
Toyota has also added more luxury and advanced technology to the SUV.
With its rugged capability, refined interior, and improved fuel economy, the new Land Cruiser aims to remain one of the most versatile adventure SUVs on the market.
