Wolves have been relegated from the Premier League, EPL, after a poor season. Their drop was confirmed on Monday after West Ham drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace.
Wolves won only three of their first 33 league matches. They earned just 17 points, which left them at the bottom of the table. Manager Rob Edwards could not turn things around.
Tolu Arokodare joined from Genk for £24 million to improve the attack. He struggled early in the season but improved later on. However, he scored only three goals in 27 matches.
Arokodare showed strong effort and led the line well. Still, the team lacked enough goals to survive. Poor defending and weak recruitment also hurt their chances.
Wolves now prepare for life in the Championship. Arokodare’s future at the club remains uncertain as the summer transfer window approaches.
