She-Fix 2.0: NNPC Limited Champions Women Inclusion in Abuja

NNPC Retail Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to gender inclusion. This came during the second edition of its She-Fix initiative in Abuja.

The event, themed “Driving Diversity, Powering Progress,” attracted over 300 women. These included professionals, business owners, and industry leaders.

In addition, the programme focused on increasing women’s participation in technical and energy-related fields.

Speaking at the event, the Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, described inclusion as key to national growth. She called for more opportunities for women in STEM fields.

Furthermore, she urged stronger collaboration between government and the private sector. According to her, this will help scale impactful programmes.

In her keynote address, Sophia Mbakwe of NNPC Limited said women are making strong contributions across the organisation. She noted that diversity remains a major strength.

Meanwhile, Valentina Kojo stressed that empowerment must be practical and visible. She added that it must also be sustainable.

Also speaking, Olufemi Soneye said women are shaping the future of the energy sector. He noted that they are driving innovation and institutional growth.

The event featured panel sessions, networking opportunities, and live demonstrations.

In addition, there was a marketplace for female-led businesses. Participants also received discounts on selected products.
