The family of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has announced the funeral arrangements for their late matriarch, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai. She died on March 27, 2026.
On Saturday, Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai shared the details in a statement.
He said the Janazah (funeral prayer) will take place at the National Mosque Abuja at 1:00 pm.
The family will bury her shortly after the prayer at Gudu Cemetery, Apo.
The statement, issued on behalf of the family elders, thanked sympathisers for their prayers, visits, and messages of condolence.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” the statement read, reflecting the Islamic belief that all souls return to their Creator.
The family also prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and asked that she be granted Aljannatul Firdausi, the highest level of Paradise.
Hajiya Umma El-Rufai is remembered as a respected matriarch who touched many lives within and beyond her family.
