U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has condemned Israel’s ongoing military operations in Lebanon. She described the attacks as a result of policies shaped by former U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a statement that sparked debate, Omar said the escalation is “no accident.” She described it as a “manufactured regional war.”

She linked the crisis to past political decisions and alliances. According to her, these actions have fueled instability across the Middle East.

Omar raised concerns about the humanitarian impact of the conflict. Reports show that Israeli attacks have killed more than 1,000 people, including at least 118 children.

The violence has also displaced over one million people in Lebanon.

“The scale of devastation is unacceptable,” she said. She warned about rising civilian casualties and worsening conditions.

Omar also criticized U.S. lawmakers. She urged Congress to review continued financial and military support to Israel.

She called for an end to what she described as the “bankrolling” of the military campaign. According to her, U.S. resources should not contribute to civilian suffering.

Her remarks add to growing calls in the U.S. for a policy shift. However, some lawmakers still defend Israel’s right to self-defense.

The situation remains tense. International observers warn that the crisis could escalate without urgent diplomatic action.
