The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has handed over recovered funds totaling N3.9 billion to NNPC Limited.
The funds were presented during a brief ceremony held at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja.
The recovery was made through investigations into fraudulent activities involving some actors linked to the oil company.
EFCC Secretary Mohammed Hammajoda presented the funds on behalf of the Commission’s chairman.
He represented Ola Olukoyede during the official handover ceremony.

Hammajoda said the recovery reflects the commission’s continued commitment to fighting economic and financial crimes.
He stated that the funds were recovered through diligent investigation and professional work by EFCC operatives.
According to him, the commission remains committed to protecting public resources for the benefit of Nigerians.
Hammajoda noted that EFCC personnel continue to serve the country despite the challenges involved in anti-corruption efforts.
Receiving the funds on behalf of NNPCL was Executive Vice President, Downstream, Mumuni Dagazau.
Dagazau thanked the EFCC for supporting the recovery of the funds.
He said the development demonstrates cooperation between government institutions in addressing financial misconduct.
Dagazau also noted that the recovery strengthens ongoing efforts to improve transparency within the organisation.
He added that NNPCL would continue to collaborate with anti-corruption agencies in protecting public resources.
