The recruitment covers medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory scientists, community health extension workers (CHEWs) and other essential health professionals.

The newly recruited health workers will be deployed to general hospitals and primary healthcare centres across Borno’s three senatorial zones.

The recruitment forms part of ongoing efforts by the Zulum administration to strengthen the state’s health sector.

Meanwhile, Governor Zulum has also directed the immediate implementation of a 100 percent rural posting allowance for medical doctors.

The policy also provides a 40 percent allowance for nurses working in remote communities.

According to the state government, the initiative is designed to attract and retain qualified medical personnel in rural areas where access to healthcare remains limited.
