Works Ministry Head Facing Laundering Charges

The ICPC has arraigned Blessing Lere-Adams, a Director at the Federal Ministry of Works, before an Abuja Federal High Court on six counts of money laundering and corruption.

Key Details

Between August 2022 and January 2024, Lere Adams allegedly received illicit funds from a subordinate, Henry David, and transferred portions to her husband and son.

She pleaded not guilty to all charges (Case No: FHC/ABJ/CR/551/2025).

Justice M. Liman granted bail at ₦5 million with one surety and strict verification requirements.

The trial is adjourned until April 20, 2026.
