Former US President Barack Obama has criticised the worsening homelessness crisis in Los Angeles, describing it as an “atrocity”.
He said the situation is unacceptable despite billions of dollars spent by elected officials over the years to address the problem.
Obama noted that public tolerance is wearing thin as tent cities continue to spread across major urban areas.
