Mal. Daurawa Calls for Unity, Responsible Politics

Malam Daurawa has called on politicians to avoid lies, blackmail and character assassination in order to restore peace and dignity in Nigeria’s political space.

Daurawa made the statement through a post shared on his verified Facebook page, where he expressed concern over the growing level of hatred, false accusations and insults in politics.

According to him, politics in Nigeria is gradually losing its true purpose because many politicians now see it as a battlefield instead of a platform for service, unity and healthy competition.

He noted that the spread of false information, unverified rumours and abusive language on social media has continued to damage relationships between politicians and the public.

The public figure warned that such actions are creating division among citizens, encouraging hatred among political actors and negatively influencing young people who are interested in politics.

He added that the situation is also slowing national development because conflicts and misunderstandings continue to affect peace and unity in the country.

Daurawa stressed that both religion and common sense teach honesty, fairness and respect for the dignity of others. He said Islam strongly discourages lies, gossip and damaging people’s reputation because such acts destroy peace in society.

He further explained that good politics should be based on truth, respect, patriotism and constructive ideas rather than insults and selfish interests.

According to him, politicians must change the way they speak and behave by avoiding hatred and false accusations so that politics can become a tool for development and peaceful coexistence instead of conflict and division.

He concluded by praying for Allah’s guidance for leaders and the entire society.
