The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) will begin its 2026 recruitment exercise on Friday, July 3, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for positions in its officer, marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant cadres.
The announcement appeared in a notice dated June 24 and signed by the Deputy Corps Marshal and Head of Administration and Human Resources, Pauline Olaye, on behalf of the Corps Marshal.
FRSC said interested applicants can submit applications online for four weeks through its recruitment portal. The Corps also reminded Nigerians that the exercise is free and warned them against fraudsters.
“Application is free and attracts no cost,” the notice stated.
Applicants must complete their registration through the official recruitment portal at recruitment.frsc.gov.ng. Those who make the shortlist will present printed copies of their application forms during screening.
“Applications must be submitted online within four (4) weeks with effect from Friday, 3rd July, 2026,” the notice added.
The recruitment covers three categories: the Officer Cadre, the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre and the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre.
Under the Officer Cadre, FRSC seeks to recruit Superintendent Route Commanders, Route Commanders or Deputy Route Commanders, and Assistant Route Commanders. Medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, lawyers and engineers can apply. Graduates with B.Sc., BA and HND qualifications may also qualify, depending on the position. Applicants in this category must generally be between 18 and 35 years old.
The Marshal Inspectorate Cadre targets candidates with NCE, ND/OND, Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife certificates, as well as Community Health Extension Worker qualifications. Candidates applying under this category must be between 18 and 30 years old.
The Road Marshal Assistant Cadre accepts applicants with at least three SSCE credits, including English Language and Mathematics. FRSC also encourages artisans and skilled workers to apply. Eligible applicants include computer operators, mechanics, electricians, plumbers, tailors, motorcycle riders and drivers.
Drivers and riders must possess the appropriate class of valid driver’s licence. Applicants seeking articulated vehicle and tow-truck positions must be between 26 and 40 years old.
FRSC said applicants must be Nigerians by birth, computer literate, medically fit and single. Candidates must also possess the required educational qualifications and professional licences where necessary.
Male applicants must be at least 1.65 metres tall, while female applicants must have a minimum height of 1.58 metres.
The Corps urged candidates to declare all certificates and qualifications during registration.
“Ensure that all certificates and qualifications are declared and presented at the point of recruitment, as undeclared qualifications will not be accepted for future career progression in the Corps,” the notice said.
Applicants must have good character and remain free from financial indebtedness. They must not have criminal convictions. FRSC also stated that candidates must not have tattoos on any part of their bodies. Applicants should use their personal email addresses and phone numbers when completing the application.
The Corps advised pregnant women not to apply for the exercise.
Interested Nigerians can apply through the FRSC recruitment portal beginning Friday, July 3, 2026. Applicants should complete the online form, upload the required documents and submit their applications within the four-week application period.
FRSC again warned applicants against paying anyone for jobs or assistance.
“This recruitment is absolutely free. Interested applicants should beware of fraudsters,” the notice stated.
