Young Nigerians embraced a strong call to pursue technology, innovation and entrepreneurship as pathways to sustainable careers and national development at the Flourish Her Africa Tech Conference 2026, held in Abuja on July 24, 2026.
Organised by Mrs. Uwakmfon Nsa, the conference carried the theme “Tech-Driven: Powering Ideas, Impact & Income.” It brought together students, entrepreneurs, professionals and innovators to explore how digital skills unlock economic opportunities and prepare young people for the future of work. The event also featured keynote presentations, panel discussions and networking sessions focused on equipping more than 100 young Nigerians with practical digital, entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
Delivering a keynote address, Dr. Akomoye emphasized the need for young people to become leaders who commit to continuous learning and personal development. He noted that technology continues transforming workplaces globally and challenged participants to develop skills that will help them remain competitive in a rapidly changing digital economy.

Speaking during an interview, the organiser, Mrs. Uwakmfon Nsa, encouraged young people to take deliberate steps toward personal and professional growth by embracing collaboration and building meaningful relationships. She stressed that success in today’s digital world does not happen in isolation, urging participants to “learn to collaborate, network, and seek mentorship.” According to her, these qualities remain essential for developing innovative ideas, expanding opportunities and building sustainable careers in an increasingly competitive environment.
