Nigerian striker Akor Adams has completed a permanent transfer from Sevilla to Italian Serie A club Venezia. The move marks another important step in his European football career.
Adams joined Sevilla from French club Montpellier during the 2024/25 winter transfer window.
He quickly settled into life in Spain and became an important member of the squad making 37 appearances in all competition for the club.
The 25-year-old scored 10 goals and provided four assists for Sevilla. Every one of those goal contributions came during the 2025/26 season.
His performances helped establish him as one of the club’s most reliable attacking players as he impressed with his work rate and ability to lead the line.
His progress at club level earned him a place in the Nigerian national team as he made his Super Eagles debut while playing for Sevilla.
He soon became a regular in the squad because of his consistent performances. Since then, he has won 15 international caps and scored six goals for Nigeria.
The striker also played an important role at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations helping Nigeria finish third in the tournament and claim the bronze medal.
Sevilla confirmed the agreement with Venezia in an official statement. The Spanish club thanked Adams for his commitment, professionalism, and contribution during his time in Seville. Club officials also wished him success in the next stage of his career.
Adams now begins a fresh challenge in Italy. Venezia will look to benefit from his goalscoring ability and experience.
The Nigerian forward, meanwhile, will hope to make an immediate impact in Serie A. Strong performances could also help him cement his place in the Super Eagles ahead of future international competitions.
