NNPC to Power Dangote’s Industrial Empire

In a strategic move to fortify its energy security, Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has finalized major gas supply agreements with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.

The deals, signed at the NNPC Towers in Abuja during the unveiling of the 2026 Gas Master Plan (GMP), are designed to power DIL’s massive industrial footprint.

The expanded Gas Sales and Purchase Agreements (GSPAs) involve three cornerstone subsidiaries of the Dangote Group and two NNPC entities: Nigerian Gas Marketing Limited and NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company Limited (NGIC).

The Dangote Group emphasized that these agreements are fundamental to their Vision 2030 roadmap. By securing a steady flow of natural gas, the conglomerate aims to Support higher output capacities across refinery, cement, and fertilizer sectors, Transition toward cleaner energy sources to power industrial operations, Provide the necessary energy infrastructure to sustain current and future growth projects.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s domestic gas utilization strategy, ensuring that the country’s largest industrial player has the fuel required to drive economic expansion.
