Prioritise Hereafter Over Endless Worldly Pursuit — Mal. Guruntum

Mal. Tijjani Yusuf  Guruntum has advised Nigerians  to avoid spending their entire lives chasing material sustenance, warning that such efforts can never be fully satisfied even over a long lifetime.

He gave the admonition during his weekly religious class in Bauchi, where he stressed the importance of balancing worldly efforts with preparation for the hereafter.

According to him, the pursuit of daily provision is necessary but should not consume a person’s entire existence. He noted that even if one were to live for a thousand years, the search for sustenance would remain unending.

“Do not exhaust your entire life chasing sustenance. Even if you were to live a thousand years, that pursuit would never truly end,” he said.

The cleric urged believers to dedicate a greater portion of their time and energy to deeds that have lasting value beyond this life, emphasizing acts of worship, good character, and service to humanity.

He added that focusing on the hereafter provides purpose and balance, helping individuals avoid being overwhelmed by worldly pressures.

Mal.Guruntum concluded by reminding his audience that true success lies not only in material gain but in what benefits a person after death.
