gombe Youth Launch Fundraiser For Prof. Pantami Governoship Bid

A group of young supporters in Gombe State has initiated a fundraising campaign to support the governorship ambition of Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami ahead of the 2027 elections.

The effort gained early momentum after a young supporter, Abba Sani Pantami, contributed N3 million toward the purchase of the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form for the former minister. The total cost of the form is estimated at N50 million.

The initiative, according to organisers, is driven by youths who say their lives were positively impacted by Prof. Pantami’s mentorship and support over the years. They described the fundraising as a way of reciprocating his contributions to their personal and professional development.

Supporters revealed that calls and appeals had been ongoing for months, with many youths requesting permission to mobilise funds for the project. Following these appeals, a committee was constituted to coordinate the fundraising process.

The committee is chaired by Muhammad Sani Ado Hausawa, who is overseeing contributions and mobilisation efforts. Organisers stated that interested donors are expected to channel their contributions through a designated bank account managed by the committee chairman.

They expressed optimism that the target amount will be met before the APC begins the sale of nomination forms in the coming week, positioning Pantami for a potential entry into the Gombe State governorship race.

The group concluded by calling on well-wishers and supporters to contribute to the initiative, expressing hope for a successful outcome.
