The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reaffirmed its commitment to go ahead with its planned congresses and convention, despite the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) suspending recognition of the party’s leadership pending ongoing court proceedings.

National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, stated, “We will go ahead with our congresses. We have given INEC 21 days’ notice, they have accepted. Whether they come or not, we will continue with our congresses and our convention.”

The statement highlights the party’s determination to maintain its internal democratic processes and signals a proactive approach as it prepares for the political calendar ahead.
