President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved key appointments in Nigeria’s energy sector.
He appointed Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu as Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund.
Aliyu replaces Ahmed Galadima Aminu, who resigned to pursue political ambitions.
The President also renewed the appointment of Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria.
His renewal is for a second and final term.

The presidency said Aliyu’s appointment reflects a commitment to strengthening capacity development in the oil and gas sector.
He is expected to drive innovation and human capital development within PTDF.
Meanwhile, Abdulaziz’s reappointment follows an assessment of his leadership performance.
Under his tenure, TCN has recorded improvements in grid stability and transmission capacity.
He has also contributed to regional electricity integration through the West African Power Pool.
Both appointments take immediate effect.
President Tinubu urged the appointees to serve with integrity and align with national development priorities.
