Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Governor of Gombe State, alongside his counterpart, Mai Mala Buni, has commissioned the newly constructed Secretariat of Nafada Local Government Area, in a move aimed at strengthening grassroots administration.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Governor Inuwa Yahaya said the project reflects his administration’s commitment to improving governance and service delivery at the local government level. He noted that providing a modern, conducive work environment for local government staff would enhance efficiency and bring government closer to the people.
Governor Buni, the special guest at the event, commended the Gombe State Government for prioritizing infrastructure development, particularly at the grassroots level. He described the new secretariat as a symbol of progress and urged local government officials to use the facility responsibly in serving their communities.
The newly inaugurated secretariat is expected to boost administrative activities in Nafada Local Government and improve coordination of development programmes, in line with the state government’s vision of inclusive growth and effective governance.
