EFCC Arrests Three Over Alleged Naira Mutilation

The Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested three individuals over alleged Naira mutilation.

The suspects were identified as Adam Muhammad, Muhammad Muhammad, and Bashir Musa.

Their arrest followed a viral video circulated on social media platforms.

In the footage, the trio were allegedly seen misusing a N500 note.

The Commission said it traced and apprehended them within the Maiduguri metropolis.

They are currently being held at the EFCC’s Maiduguri detention facility.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, according to the Commission.

The EFCC stated that the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
